Get some rest! You deserve it!
Check out this week's edition of the Good News Letter, where we check out positive news from around the world!
Hey Hey!
Hows it going?
What do you think about this:
Nice view right?
This weekend I joined several of my friends in hiking to Russet Lake, just behind Whistler-Blackcomb ski resort.
The lake is a sweet spot to find peace and quiet and enjoy nature and beautiful views.
It was an important reminder to keep enjoying the outdoors and to take a pause from the hustle and bustle of city life every once in a while.
So, I enter this week rejuvenated, full of happiness, and ready to add some more with this newsletter.
I hope you can find a nice spot to get a bit of peace and quiet and reset every once in a while.
Enjoy!
Ozone is coming back βοΈ
After major agreements, more than 30 years ago, the United Nations says that the ozone layer is slowly healing, and expects it to mend fully by 2066.
Land back to its rightful owners π³
Brazil's president has signed an agreement to return 800 square miles of indigenous land back to its original caretakers. The land can still be used for logging, but only with the permission of its caretakers.
Right to repair, right? π
Colorado has passed the first law in the US that will allow individuals to have the right to repair their own equipment. Farmers in particular have to get all their repairs done by manufacturers, costing millions each year. The new law hopes to negate this, forcing manufacturers to make machines that can be easily repaired.
Recycled metals in phones π±
Apple has committed to using 100% recycled cobalt in its batteries by 2025, as well as 100% recycled gold and tin on its circuit boards.
Stop wasting food π₯
A coalition has been formed in the United States, aiming at reducing the vast amounts of food waste that is being created. The coalition has made it a goal to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030.
A map of every tree π΄
Using satellite imagery, every single tree in Africa has now been recorded on a map. The project hopes to track deforestation and prevent the illegal cutting down of trees in order to keep the continent's ecosystems alive.
And that's it, folks!
Thank you for joining me on this week's episode. I hope that you have enjoyed it.
I encourage you to go out there, explore the world, find peace and quiet and get a bit of rest every now and then between your busy work schedule.
And as always, I want to wrap up by saying, have an excellent rest of your week!
Bye Bye ππ
