Check out these feel-good 10 stories from the last 10 years!

πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰ NewsLetter number πŸ”Ÿ! Here it is! πŸ”Ÿ Woohoo! Party time! πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰

It's been πŸ”Ÿ weeks since I started this newsletter... Although that sounds like a short period of time, it's been an absolute eternity, filled with joyous stories from around the world.

As a little celebration of being the πŸ”Ÿth episode. Everything in this letter with me "πŸ”Ÿ" themed.

πŸ”Ÿ stories, posted at πŸ”Ÿ am PST, from the last πŸ”Ÿ years, etc etc.

I will include my absolute favourite stories from the last πŸ”Ÿ years, across a wide range of topics. These are all must-knows if you want some positive news.

I hope you enjoy this absolute banger of a newsletter!

And a little thank you of course. I try to include something a little personal in each letter, but I mainly want to say thank you. Although it's been mostly quiet, I can feel something stirring, and I hope to continue this. I honestly didn't think I'd last πŸ”Ÿ weeks, so here is to πŸ”Ÿ more πŸ₯‚

2023: Drug to Prevent Brain Cancer πŸ™…β™‚οΈπŸ§

Perhaps the worst cancer of them all. I want to start this edition with my favourite news article from this week. Check out this research drug that significantly slows down the progression of cancer tumours in the brain.

2022: 1 BILLION WITH A B?!?!? πŸ…±οΈ

Global vaccine-sharing programs reached a milestone of 1 billion doses given out to the general public. This marked a momentous milestone for governments as we learned how to properly deal with COVID.

2021: The world becoming a better place β˜€οΈ

Research in 2021 indicated that 147 nations had become more socially progressive compared to a decade earlier. More freedom of speech, movement, and expression are some of the main factors contributing to this.

2020: Vaccine for Cancer ♋️

Of course, we recall this year as the "pandemic year", but we can't forget the amazing breakthroughs we had in cancer research. Researchers hoped that a vaccine could help bring an end to cancer once and for all.

2019: The Turtles are back 🐒

A giant tortoise believed to be extinct was discovered in GalΓ‘pagos. You may recall a similar story from an earlier edition of the Good News-letter!

2018: Save the Bees 🐝

The EU voted for a ban on all insecticides that kill bees. Perhaps the most important organism to our food systems. Bees are the primary fertilizers of all of our crops, ensuring we have food to sustain ourselves.

2017: Let's save the ocean! 🌊

I remember this as the year we started to care for our oceans. We had projects like REV, and The OCEAN Cleanup come to fruition. However, we still have a long way to go!

2016: New money = New face πŸ’΅

Don't be fooled by the article title (I couldn't find one that included both countries), but Canada AND the US both made efforts to redesign their currencies to better reflect their history and past, highlighting civil rights activists instead of "founding fathers".

2015: Europe Welcomed Refugees πŸ€—

While there is still a large debate on whether countries did it the right way, there is no doubt that a lot of heartwarming actions were taken by some European nations to help support the surging refugee crisis.

2014: The Ozone is returning? 🌎

A study completed in 2014 showed that the ozone was slowly recovering. Seems that we were more optimistic back then about the state of the world....

and that's it, folks!

There are a million other positive stories that have happened over the last πŸ”Ÿ years, but it's clear to me that there is still a long way to go to perfect our world.

I hope this article has served as a good reminder of the good that exists out there in the world.

Thanks for reading my articles over the last πŸ”Ÿ weeks, and here's to πŸ”Ÿ more πŸ₯‚

And as always, I want to wrap up by saying, have a wonderful rest of your week!

Bye Bye πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
